Myopia Progression

Home
Myopia is a refractive error when the eye cannot focus on distance without concave /minus lenses. For some children and teens, myopia can progress- influenced by genetics, but also environment. Intense near activity (screens and reading) in dim light exacerbates pediatric myopic progression. Therapy to reduce the rate of myopic progression includes dilute atropine drops, peripheral defocus contact lenses and spectacles, and more outdoor time in daylight..
